1968 would see the first mass produced Shelby GT convertible. This Candy Apple Red GT500 has the standard rocker panel stripes and has saddle (tan) interior with the standard roll bar. Contrary to popular belief, no 1968 Shelby left the factory with the "Le Mans stripes", they were dealer or owner installed. All GT500's came with the 428 cubic inch "police interceptor" engine making 360 horsepower. Handling the power are the standard mag wheel hubcaps and Goodyear tires.
